'interest'의 여러가지 의미

간혹 기업의 재무 상태를 설명하거나, 혹은 경재, 금융 관련 기사를 보다보면 "interest"라는 단어를 보게 됩니다.

우리가 흔히 보던 "흥미", "관심을 갖다" 등의 의미가 아니고 "아, 이런 의미로 쓰였구나" 하고 추측만 하고 넘어가지 않나요? 

금융이나 재무와 관련해서 "interest"를 접할 때, 보통은 숫자나 그래프 등과 함께 보기 때문에,

"interest"는 "이자", "이익"이라는 의미가 있다는 것을 쉽게 유추할 수 있죠.

하지만 이렇게 Presentation 자료나 Article로 "interest" 를 접하다 보니, 구어체로 접하는 일은 부족해서 정작 내가 써야 할 때는 입에서 쉽게 나오지 않을 수 있습니다.
