전처 Carol 과의 사이에서 아기를 갖게 된 Ross는 좋은 아빠가 될 수 있을지 불안해합니다.

 

Ross : I had a dream last night where I was playing football with my kid.

Ross : 어젯밤에 아기를 안고 미식축구하는 꿈을 꿨어.

Chandler and Joey : That's nice.

Chandler and Joey : 좋은 꿈이네.

Ross : No, no, with him. I'm on this field, and they, they hike me the baby... and I, I know I've gotta do something 'cause the Tampa Bay defence is comin' right at me.

Ross : 아니, 아니, 아기가 공이었어. 경기장에 서있었는데 나한테 아기를 넘겨주더라고, 그리고 알았지 뭐라도 해야 한다는걸, 왜냐하면 Tampa Bay 수비수들이 나한테 달려들고 있었거든.

Joey : Tampa Bay's got a terrible team.

Joey : Tampa Bay 축구팀은 엉망이잖아.

Ross : Right, but, it is just me and the baby, so I'm thinkin' they can take us. And so I uh, hah-hah, I just heave it downfield.

Ross : 맞아, 그런데, 우린 나하고 아기뿐이었잖아, 그래서 그들이 우릴 제압할 수 있을 것 같았어. 그래서 난 어, 하-하 손에 든 걸 필드 끝으로 던졌어.

Chandler : What are you crazy? That's a baby!

Chandler : 너 미쳤어? 그건 아기잖아!

Joey : He should take the sack?*

Joey : 애는 포대기에 싸여 있는데, 뭐.

*sack이 가진 두 가지 의미를 활용한 유머예요.

Ross : Anyway, suddenly I'm down field, and I realise that I'm the one who's supposed to catch him, right? Only I know there is no way I'm gonna get there in time, so I am running, and running, and that, that is when I woke up. See I, I am so not ready to be a father.

Ross : 아무튼, 갑자기 난 필드로 내려왔고, 아기를 잡아야 하는 사람이 나라는 것을 깨달았어. 제시간에 도착할 방법이 없다는 것을 알았기 때문에 난 달리고 또 달리고 있던 중에 꿈에서 깼어. 봐, 난 아빠가 될 준비가 안됐어. 

Chandler : Hey, you're gonna be fine. You're one of the most caring, most responsible men in North America. You're gonna make a great dad.

Chandler :  야, 괜찮을 거야. 넌 북미에서 가장 자상하고, 책임감 있는 남자 중 하나야. 넌 훌륭한 아빠가 될 거야.

Joey : Yeah, Ross. You and the baby just need better blocking.

Joey : 그래, Ross 너하고 아기는 그냥 블로킹만 더 잘하면 돼.
