storm out(/off), storm in(/into)

오늘은 동사 'storm'을 활용한 구동사 "storm out(/off)"과 "storm in(/into)"에 대해 알아보도록 하겠습니다.

명사 'storm'은 '폭풍', '폭풍우'라는 의미이죠? 동사로는 '기습하다', '호통치다'등의 의미를 갖습니다.
뭔가 화가 난 것 같기도 하고 시끄러운 느낌이 천둥 번개를 함께한 '폭풍우' 같은 느낌인데요.
여기에 밖으로 향하는 느낌의 전치사 'out',이나 떨어져 나가는 느낌의 'off'를 붙여서 "storm out(/off)"라고 하면 "(화가 나서) 뛰쳐나가다 (/갑자기 나가다)"라는 의미가 됩니다.
반대로 안쪽으로 향하는 느낌의 전치사 'in', 'into'등을 써서 "storm in(/into)"라고 하면 "(화난 채로) 뛰쳐 들어오다"라는 의미가 돼요.
